Proverbs around the corner

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive tons of shit."

Homer Simpson vs. Mr.Big

Homer J. Simpson, the legendary character from longest running cartoon show, The Simpsons.
He is representative of men, who is: kind, lazy, relaxed, loyal and loving husband, likes to drink, good at his heart, but lacks the initiative to show it. I think he represents most family men, who does not know how to cook, but would feed the family somehow in times of need; loves his wife, but have no good communication tools; lazy, but would somehow finds his way out of financial crisis for his family; not sexy, but good and kind; bald and with beer belly, and obviously not confident and not funny when it comes to women.

Another type of men, like Mr.Big in Sex and the City. Successful, and obviously not family type. Hard working, elegant, never drinks too much, bit cold, calculative and selfish. In other words, good behaving - bad boy. Women are attracted to this type of city men more than to family type, 'cause they promise more excitement, more adventure, more confident, knows what he and women want, etc.

What women really want is a guy that has confidence. A guy that can see them, want to start a conversation and in that moment – be able to walk over and actually start an interaction with them.

It is only at the beginning of the relationship. When relationship becomes serious, as Kerry Bradshaw, women expect Mr.Big type to change to more of Homer type. Women expect city single man turn into country family man. Is it possible? Not likely, only when men themselves want to change, it could happen. You cannot turn dog into a cat or vice verse. Obviously, single confident guys would want to build a family one day. How will they transform themselves, is mystery to us.

So the choice is ours, who do we want. Hard headed Mr.Big or softy Homer Simpson?
