Proverbs around the corner

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive tons of shit."

Keep you friends close...

There is a saying, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." I understand the notion of this proverb. However, nowadays, people been preaching me that I should keep my enemies close, but my friends closer, as they are the most dangerous enemies you create yourself. Is it true? Does really backstabbing comes from close friends? I guess, the answer is YES and NO.

Yes, because you are most vulnerable to your friends, especially close friends. They know all about you, your vulnerabilities are most revealed to your close friends, so you are easy target to them. All your life secrets are told to your friends voluntarily by you. Your success and failures are on their palm like an open book. So, opportunity to do harm is within them.

No, because simply they are your friends, your best friends. You trust your life and death with them, so the relationship is assumed reciprocated. Thus, even if they have the opportunity to backstabbing, most and true friends will never do so. This is common virtue, common expectation.

After all, friendship bases on trust, without it there is no true friendship. If you trust, then you trust 100%. There is no 50% or 80% trust in friendships. True friendships should be distinguished from common acquaintances. I believe in my friends, so I hope (my fingers crossed) that I will never have to say "Keep your enemies close, but your friends closer."
Thanks to all my good friends for being there for me and always supporting me!
